I always felt that this series would eventually end with Sookie together with Sam. It seems like she's really heading in that direction now. But I wonder - if Eric really does leave the area for Freyda, what will happen to her protection? She has certainly proven herself capable of defending herself, but with her collection of supernatural enemies it's always nice to have extra support.
